In honor of the upcoming one year anniversary of me re-starting this blog, I thought it was finally time to introduce myself! I’m so incredibly grateful for all of the support I’ve received throughout the past year, through both the book blogging and bookstagram communities, not to mention from my close friends and family. I started this blog back when I was a middle schooler who desperately wanted to talk about a book she had just finished reading, but had no “book friends” and decided to write a blog post about how she was feeling about the book instead. I never thought Book Noted would grow so much and become something I was so passionate about, or become a medium for me to connect with so many truly amazing individuals, but here we are, and I couldn’t be happier. <3
Without further ado, here’s the “Meet The Blogger” Tag, created by Bethany over at Bibliophile’s Binge 🙂

hi, I’m geetanshi!
Name: Geetanshi
Age: 19
Education: I’m currently working on getting my bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science, with minors in Computer Science and Linguistics!
Location: California, USA
A few of my favorite things: Books, music, ice cream, macarons, bullet journaling, writing.
Is there a story behind your blog’s name?
Kind of? Middle school me really liked the name “Notebooked” for some reason (maybe because I wrote my thoughts about books in a notebook?), so I think that’s what the blog was initially called. At a certain point (I can’t remember when) I realized that didn’t immediately scream “book blog,” so I mixed the words around and got “Book Noted,” which seemed more appropriate. I like to think of it is I’m taking note of all of the books that are meaningful to me, in addition to my literary journey, although I’ve expanded the blog to include poetry and other fun tags like this one!
What are you looking forward to right now?
I just finished my second year at university a couple of days ago, and I’m really looking forward to both relaxing for a whole week and my remote summer internship that starts after that!
Favorite Ice Cream: Vanilla! Especially if it’s from one of those stores that make the liquid-nitrogen kind!
Coffee or Tea? And how do you take it?
I only drink coffee when 1) I really need to stay awake and have lots of work to do and 2) it has lots and lots of sugar in it. I absolutely can’t stand the bitterness, which is why I’m much more of a tea girl. My favorites are jasmine, chamomile, peach green, and apricot tea. Since we’re talking about tea…I think it’s also worth it to mention that a staple part of my daily rou-tea-n is making a high quanti-tea of tea puns, and really just (bad?) puns in general 🙂
Favorite Thing To Do On a Rainy Day: Read or write near a window with my favorite vanilla scented candle next to me.
Favorite Movies: The Harry Potter movies, Pride and Prejudice, Tangled, Star Wars
Favorite Books: Wonder, Pride and Prejudice, The Harry Potter series, The Legend series
One Item on Your Bucket List: Live on my own in a city for a while!
Scariest Thing You’ve Ever Done: Probably deciding to switch my major away from computer science and realizing I needed to take a path different than the one my family wanted for me so I could pursue my own goals!
Fun Fact or Two: I’ve been really into learning web design recently, and I’m currently writing a book with one of my best friends!
Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week!
